Los Angeles, CA (May 8, 2025)—19-year-old singer-songwriter and producer sombr has scored a massive feat with two songs simultaneously in the top 5 on Spotify’s U.S. Top 50.undressed” enters at #4 with over 106M streams to date, and “back to friends,” lands at #5 with over 190M streams—marking a career first for the Warner Records signed artist.

Ahead of making his late-night television debut performing “back to friends” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 20, sombr shares a new video for his smash hit “undressed” today. Watch the video, directed by Gus Black, here.

The two singles are also concurrently climbing the Billboard Hot 100, after making their debut within just weeks of each other. “back to friends” currently sits at #50 and is continuing to climb, with “undressed” currently at #56. “undressed” is also taking off worldwide, cracking the Top 20 on the U.K. Official Singles Chart and earning #14 on Spotify’s Global Chart. It made its debut at Top 40 radio this week.

“back to friends” has garnered widespread attention since its December 2024 release and continues to soar globally, earning #21 on the U.K. Official Singles Chart this month and appearing in the Top 10 on Spotify’s Global Chart at #8. The song made its Billboard chart debut across three charts and is the second greatest gainer at radio on the Alternative Chart landing this week at #9.

Last month, sombr sold out his North American and European headline tour pre-sale instantly. A New York-native raised on the Lower East Side, sombr—born Shane Boose—started making music in his bedroom while studying classical music as a student at the prestigious public school, LaGuardia High School. His breakout hit “Caroline” (2022) took the internet by storm, and he has since released a series of EPs and singles, climbing to over 25 million Spotify monthly listeners. Now based in Los Angeles, sombr continues to explore young romance and heartbreak through his music—all of which is self-written and released via Warner Records.

sombr’s headline tour will follow a slew of spring dates across North America and a U.K and Europe run with Nessa Barrett that kicks off later this month.
